Doireann Garrihy is preparing to walk down the aisle.
She previously told VIP Magazine: “A date is set for the end of the year!”
So we know that she will be having a winter wedding in the next handful of weeks. And we also know that wedding planning is seriously stressful.
But Doireann has her head on her shoulders.
Speaking to Brian Dowling and Katja Mia on The Six O’Clock Show, she revealed: “It’s going great. So far, I don’t think I’m a Bridezilla.
“There’s a lot of time for me to get there, I could be. The main things are done, the big things are done. It’s now the kind of finer details of the ceremony.
“That’s a lovely one, we had a good ceremony meeting yesterday. Choosing the people who do what. We’re actually blessed, we have very talented friends. A lot of them are doing music, the prayers, readings and poems.”
And her husband-to-be Mark Mehigan is just as hands-on with the wedding planning.
She said: “He’s great. He loves his music, so he’s particular about the music for certain parts of the day. He’s very creative, it’s actually great to get his eye over things.”
Of course, chat soon turns to Dancing with the Stars with Doireann revealing how excited she is for the new season.
“I’m really excited to go into my third year, My first year was scary, my second year was, ‘Oh god, am I going to be able to do it as well as I did.’ because I do feel like I did well the first year. Now it’s like, I need to bring my A-game. I’ll be a married woman,” she enthused.
She also revealed that next week she will find out the 2025 contestant lineup.
She admitted that she is terrible at guessing who is going to be taking part: “I’m not going to lie to you guys. I get it wrong every year, I think Una Healy needs to do it. That’s a realistic goal for us.”
We can’t wait to see her walk down the aisle!
