Hughie Maughan is set to move back to Ireland, following his split from fiancé Ryan Ruckledge. The pair had been living in Blackpool together for the last number of months, but Hughie has now decided that it’s best for him to be home with family at this time.
The former Big Brother participant will fly back to Dublin today, amid claims online that his break up was a publicity stunt. A source close to the Dubliner said, “Hughie’s coming home for support from his family. He is genuinely upset by what has happened and what’s being said online.”
A devastated Hughie then took to Twitter to defend himself against these false allegations saying, “I get we met on a tv show so people will have an opinion but already I see pigs saying Ryan cheated etc. Ryan is amazing but we aren’t right.
“I will always love and respect him but we have grown apart. Please can people not think it’s fake or we are having a joke with people, also no one cheated or did anything major, just different people. I will always love and respect him but we have grown apart.”
Ryan also took to social media, echoing Hughie’s words, and thanking his followers for their support.
