Hughie Maughan has hit back DWTS viewers who accused him of “racism” after he appeared on last night’s show layered in copious amounts of fake tan.
The Big Brother star’s bold move sent viewers into a frenzy last night, with many taking to Twitter to joke about his unnaturally dark colour. Although most people watching took it all in good fun, some criticised the stunt, branding it “racist”.
The tv personality was not impressed with viewers’ negative reactions and he took to Twitter to defend himself.
“What idiots are people to accuse me of racism get a grip.. the tan turned out darker than planned but at least it’s funny and people spoke.” he wrote.
Luckily for Hughie, most people saw the funny side of his fake tan faux pas and #Hughie was even trending on Twitter for a number of hours last night!
