This year’s line up for the BBC Children In Need Rocks concert is full of big names who are stepping up to honour the late Sir Terry Wogan. The radio and television presenter sadly passed away in January following a battle with cancer.
BBC broadcaster Terry hosted the concert from 1980 up until last year. He also campaigned for and gave a lot of money to the charity for the last 30 years.
Musicians such as Olly Murs, Take That, Ellie Goulding and Rick Astley will perform at the concert, which is due to take place on November 1st. Others including The Vamps, Michael Ball and Alfie Boe will also take to the stage in London’s Royal Albert Hall.
Presenting the gig will be Fearne Cotton and Greg James. Speaking of the honour, Fearne said that the concert will celebrate Sir Terry’s life.
“It has been an honour working with Terry across the years on Children In Need and it’s a privilege to be hosting Rocks in celebration of his life. It’s going to be a very special evening with some great artists performing some of his favourite tracks.”
