It is the season for giving.

And this year, you can help donate to charity by simply going to see Santa Clause.

It’s definitely a win-win!

Glenveagh has partnered with broadcaster and children’s author Lucy Kennedy to launch the return of “The North Portal”, an extra special way to bring the magic of Santa into homes across Ireland this Christmas, to support the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation’s vital “Home for Christmas” appeal.

The North Portal, created by Glenveagh offers another way to unlock the magic of Christmas and helps Santa reach children across Ireland, especially those living in homes without chimneys.

For every activation of The North Portal, Glenveagh will donate €1 to the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation, up to a total of €50,000.

The North Portal opens every Christmas Eve to make sure that Santie can get to every child regardless of if you have a chimney or not.

The donations will contribute towards the Foundation’s ‘Home for Christmas appeal’ by funding up to 2,800 hours of in-home nursing care for families across Ireland, allowing children with highly complex and life-limiting medical conditions to stay at home, with their families, where they belong.

Lucy Kennedy, broadcaster and children’s author said: “I’m delighted to partner with Glenveagh to launch the return of The North Portal.

“It’s such a fantastic initiative, bringing the spirit of Christmas to life while supporting the incredible work of the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation. Knowing that each activation helps families spend precious time together at home this Christmas is truly special.”

While Eileen O’Malley, PR and Communications Manager at the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation said: “This Christmas, we’re asking everyone to join us in supporting this magical initiative from our wonderful friends at Glenveagh.

“By activating the North Portal and spreading the festive cheer, you’re directly contributing to the vital in-home nursing care and respite support we provide to over 400 families nationwide. With your help, we can reach our goal and make a real difference this Christmas.”
