
The Winter Olympics will officially kick off on Friday evening with the glorious opening ceremony.
The two-week event will take place in Italy so perfect viewing times for us here in Ireland.
Now RTÉ has confirmed the schedule for the Milano Cortina Games.
The Opening Ceremony will live on RTÉ Player and RTÉ News channel from the iconic San Siro stadium in Milan. RTÉ’s coverage begins at 6.55pm.

RTÉ Player will stream all of the events featuring the four strong Irish team, beginning with Cormac Comerford in the Downhill Skiing, Saturday 7th February, from 10:20am to 12:45pm.
RTÉ Player will have a one-hour highlights programme every evening at 10pm from Saturday 7th February to Saturday 21st February.
The highlights package on Sunday, 22nd February will run from 4pm to 5pm.
However, if you want to keep up to date on all the sports, you’ll have to sign up to streaming service Discovery+.

The streamer, which is included in Sky customers’ packages, will be showcasing all events over the next fortnight.
