Whether they were rekindling old romances or starting something completely new, Irish stars haven’t held back when it comes to wearing their heart on their sleeves and finding love in 2015. We’ve taken a look at some of our favourite new romances of the year, and just look for yourself at how cute these are:
Cian Healy and Laura Smith
Cian Healy was spotted in Dubai with his ex-girlfriend Laura Smith during a ‘couples’ holiday with some of his rugby team-mates and their other halves.The duo split in 2012 when Laura moved to New York, however it’s believed the two have rekindled their romance since she returned to Ireland earlier this summer. At the time of their holiday to Dubai, an insider told The Herald, “She’s a really nice girl. She’s been there for Cian since she got back. She’s been over to Cardiff to support him during the World Cup and now she’s on holiday with him in Dubai.” It seems things are definitely back on for these pair!
Imelda May
Despite breaking up with her hubby of 12 years earlier this year, the singer has moved on and is apparently very happy with her new mystery French beau. According to The Sun, the singer was spending a lot of time in France this year to record a TV special, and was able to see her new man a lot. An insider told the newspaper, “It’s very early days and Imelda wants to go slowly before stepping out into the spotlight with her new man, but she’s very happy.”
Holly Carpenter and Danny O’Reilly
Holly Carpenter gave us all the confirmation we needed about her rumoured romance with Danny O’Reilly, when she recently opened up in her column for The Herald. The top model spent a weekend partying with The Coronas frontman in Dubai, before heading along to an Irish bar to see him perform. “On Friday night we went to see The Coronas, a band I’ve been seeing a lot of lately. Aside from my own personal thoughts on their lovely lead singer, I really like their music and they’re such sound guys,” she said.
Laura Whitmore and Rory Williams
Laura Whitmore proved that she has definitely moved on from Danny O’Reilly when she confirmed her relationship with rocker Rory Williams. The presenter kept coy about her beau for a couple of months, but as soon as she headed to Oz for I’m A Celebrity, she couldn’t hide their relationship anymore. Laura was happy to share snaps of Rory on social media, as well as cute videos with him after he flew half way around the world to see her. How sweet?!
Niall Horan and Selena Gomez
Are they on, are they off? We don’t know what’s happening with this pair, but we’re not sure they do either! One minute they’re spotted being all over each other at lavish Hollywood parties, the next Selena denies any relationship, and then Niall goes on to reveal that he’d marry her! While they’ve yet to confirm anything, they’re definitely our favourite rumoured romance of the year.
