Despite the fact that this is our third lockdown, it’s still hard to get used to the lack of routine in our daily lives. Without having to commute and head into the office 9-5 it’s easy to lose track of which day it is!
We’ve reached out to some of our favourite wellness and fitness experts to see what they focus on each day, to help their mental wellbeing.
Looking after your mental health is more important than ever as we try to get through the next few weeks and we spoke to wellness expert Holly White on what she does each day to stay positive.
“Most importantly Wellness is a culmination of your daily habits and I’ve really enjoyed having full control over what I eat and starting my day at a gentler pace.”
“These days I might be a little slower on account of not having as many places to be or deadlines, but from a mental health perspective I’ve really benefitted.”
“I went through phases of things such as meditation, exercise and juicing but now they are who I am and regular habits.”
“I may miss a day or two occasionally but having felt the benefits I want to make this my way of life. There’s so much out of our control but establishing healthy routines and doing what works for me consistently has been so beneficial.”
Holly has also set up a Meat Free Monday cook-along, which are a great way to get some plant-based inspiration.
You’ll be sent a recipe card and prep sheet (complete with shopping list, equipment needed and set-up tips), so you can be ready to go when you log into the 1 hour session via Zoom!
All recipes will be provided in advance so you can cook along with Holly, interact and ask questions.
