It’s been rumoured Eoghan McDermott has left RTE 2FM, following six years with the station.
The broadcaster kickstarted his radio career in Spin103.8, before moving to XFM in the UK, and back to RTE 2FM in 2014.
Two years ago, he landed a breakfast show with Doireann Garrihy and but now, it’s thought he has left.
Eoghan has been absent from the show for the last two weeks, and on the official RTE website, the show is no longer referred to as RTE Breakfast with Doireann and Eoghan, but simply RTE Breakfast.
Doireann and Eoghan’s picture has also been removed, and replaced with the 2FM logo.
Last year it was rumoured Eoghan would leave the station to focus on other roles, but at the time, the broadcaster said there was no truth to the claims.
