Greg O’Shea announced that he would be taking over from Martin King on The Six O’Clock earlier this month as he stepped into the Ireland AM hot seat.
He made his debut this week alongside Karen Koster and he was a natural.
The former rugby player was born to be on screen and viewers were just as delighted to see him in the hot seat.
He shared a few pictures of his first day on set alongside the former Xposé presenter.
“The day has finally come, our first day presenting the @sixoclockshow together,” he wrote alongside the shots.
“Very honoured to be hosting alongside this lovely lady. We have some great guests lined up for tonight’s show so make sure to tune in!”
He was inundated with congratulatory messages from his pals including Anna Geary who wrote: “Go smash it @gregoshea.”
“Go get ‘em Greg!!” Maia Dunphy commented while Aoife Walsh added: “Amazing”.
Elaine Crowley was also there to cheer on Greg for his first show as she appeared as a guest on the show.
“New kid on the block Greg playing a blinder with @karenkostertv on @sixoclockshow,” she wrote as she shared a selfie of the trio.
Congratulations, Greg, we can’t wait to see how he gets on!
