“The learnings I’ve taken are invaluable, and I’m so appreciative to the women I had the pleasure of presenting alongside. @karenkostertv , @grainne_seoigetv , @zeinabofficial , @fionnualajay have been my TV sisters and we had so much craic together.”
“From interviewing icons such as President Mary Robinson and superstar celebrities like Gok Wan, to doing FRIENDS dance routines live on TV, there has never been a dull moment.
“A massive thank you to everyone in the team behind the camera because without you all there literally wouldn’t be a show. I’m looking forward to seeing the new vision for the @sixoclockshow and whatever crazy adventure the future has in store for me next.”
He made the original announcement on Friday evening, saying: “On Monday, Karen Koster announced that she was leaving The Six O’Clock Show. And, unfortunately, I’m also going to be leaving on Tuesday with her.”

However, he went on to explain his reasoning.
“I think it’s the perfect time for The Six O’Clock Show to mix things up and try something new. I’ve learned so much over the last year.
“I’ve absolutely loved it from yourself, Gráinne [Seoige], from Karen and other people I’ve presented beside. Incredible people and the team behind Six O’Clock Show are honestly so talented and I love them all.”
We’re sure Tuesday will be an emotional one for everyone.
