Greg O’Shea has a close relationship with rugby.

The TV host represented Ireland in rugby 7s at the Tokyo Olympics and has been playing rugby for almost his entire life.

So it was no surprise that he jetted off to Paris over the weekend to watch the lads take on The All-Blacks in the quarter-finals with his dad.

What a dream trip!

Unfortunately, Greg has shared that it was “bittersweet” as Ireland was knocked out by the New Zealand team.

“Bitter sweet father son weekend away. It definitely wasn’t what we hoped for but at least Irish fans brought the best craic,” he captioned the picture of the two of them in the stands.

Greg and his father, Niall were joined by former Connacht hooker Jack Dinneen.

While the boys in green did not win, everyone was proud to cheer them on from the stands.

Commenters told Greg: “The Irish Rugby team did us so proud.”

While another teased Greg that he would have to support South Africa, where his girlfriend Jeanni Mulder is from.

To which he responded: ” pure high quality rugby.”

Of course, Ireland and South Africa had previously sparred in the World Cup with Ireland beating the current champs.

Naturally, Ireland’s victory was cause for celebration, and the Limerick native couldn’t help but poke fun at his girlfriend.

Sharing a video on Instagram, The Six O’Clock show presenter waved goodbye to Jeanni as she left the pub they were watching the match in, following South Africa’s defeat. Saying: “Goodbye. Gowan, out of here! See ya later bud! Good luck!”

These two are as cute!
