Gráinne Seoige has revealed how positive her experience has been since moving home to Ireland in a new interview.
The presenter has been living in her South Africa for the past number of years
with her husband Leon Jordaan, where they launched a diamond business.
Speaking with The Sunday Independent, Gráinne shared that she’s had such a positive experience since making the move back to her native Galway.
“What I have found since I came home is there’s been an avid welcome online with lots of ‘It’s nice to see you’re back.’”
The 47-year-old has made some appearances back on our screens, having recently been on Ireland AM. TV is something the presenter is very familiar with and she said she’s had a great response so far.
She shared; “When I do a bit of TV, I get ‘It’s great to see you face on TV again,’ so it’s really lovely, the amount of positivity that I’m finding online and women supporting each other. It’s absolutely wonderful.”
This kind of positivity online isn’t always the way things go, as we well know those in the public eye are often subject to more negativity than positivity.
Speaking about this, Gráinne shared; “It’s been lovely because we’re all familiar with the negative side of social media but what I have found is that really open, warm buzz since I’ve come home.”
So, will we be seeing Gráinne back on our screens anytime soon? She certainly hasn’t ruled it out!
“So if the right project came up and it was right for my life, I would absolutely love it.”
“I love TV, it was my first love in terms of work. I have the grá. You don’t have that length of time and learn that much and have it not be of benefit.”
“And it is of benefit to have people who know what they’re doing.”
