Grainne Gallanagh has officially returned to nursing, joining the thousands of frontline workers across the country as they battle against Covid19.
The model and former Dancing with the Stars contestant previously worked in the healthcare profession, and recently re-registered as a nurse to help with the pandemic.
Grainne started work this week, and reveals it hasn’t been an easy adjustment.
Taking to Instagram she said, “I like to keep my page positive and fun but I’ll be honest, I was a bag of nerves starting back in the hospital today!”
“I have the utmost respect for every nurse, doctor, carer and frontline staff who is working around the clock right now. And also for everyone that is at home just doing their utmost best to get by.
“When all of this is a distant memory we will remember how we took a breather, looked out for each other and learned to appreciate the little things.”
Similarly, influnecer Terrie McEvoy also recently returned to nursing.
Sharing a picture of herself with impressions left on her face from the PPE, she said, “It’s been a tough few days I won’t lie, but we’ll get there.
“Sending the biggest virtual hug to everyone else working in essential services. Hang in there.”
