Graham Norton caused quite a bit of confusion yesterday when he announced out of the blue that he’d gotten engaged for Valentine’s Day.
The chat show star sent fans into a tizzy when he made the huge announcement on Instagram, but it turns out it was just one big prank. D’oh!
Graham posted a photo of him cuddled up to financial adviser George Sapio in NYC with the caption: “I said yes!”, followed by countless emojis of engagement rings, which prompted his shocked followers to send their congratulations.
But the BBC presenter soon put an end to the online meltdown by clearing up that he’d only agreed to “to another drink” asking his fans to calm down.
Well, he has us fooled…. the 52-year-old recently admitted he’s looking for love, and has even signed up to dating app Tinder to find a man.
According to the Sun, he’s keen to “get back in the game” after his most recent split with music marketing consultant Andrew Smith.
