Glenda Gilson shares reassuring message to other expecting Mams

Glenda Gilson has shared a reassuring message on her Instagram to other expecting Mams who are worried at the moment. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, visiting times are restricted which can be stressful for first time Mams especially.

Glenda, who gave birth to her second child earlier this week shared some Instagram stories to assure other pregnant women that everything will be ok. Little Danny Mac made his entrance into the world at 4.21am on Wednesday morning, weighing 7lbs.

“A lot of you moms-to-be have been on to me, freaking out, worried about coming in to have your baby, don’t be.”

“I’m in the Coombe so can only speak about my experience here, the nurses, doctors, so professional, masked up and playing by the rules. Just brilliant can’t complain about that.”

One of the things most expectant mothers are worried about is having their partner with them during and after the birth.

Glenda shared; “Rob has been allowed in everyday from two to four thirty which is great.”

“It is a bit weird looking out the window and seeing hundreds of men pulling up outside, its like something from back in the day, it’s weird.”

“It’s fine once they come, everything is normal…obviously when I came in Rob had to drop me at the door… and I was on my own from there.”

“Once I was in labour he was allowed in and he was allowed to stay afterwards for an hour,” she continued.

Finally she shared a heartfelt message; “I know you first time Moms have been on your own pretty much throughout all this, but don’t worry you’re baby will be with you soon, so best of luck.”
