Glenda Gilson has admitted she played the doting wife recently by organising a big surprise 40th party for husband Rob McNaughton. The loved-up star revealed all the details to 2FM’s Nicky Byrne for the special occasion.
The 34-year-old told the radio host that Rob wanted to celebrate his birthday discreetly, but he had no idea what she had in store for him.
“He doesn’t like parties, he’s never had parties and then he turned around to me and said, ‘I think I have to have a party, can you set something up for me for about 150 people?’,” she revealed
“He thought I was doing nothing for him…and he walked into a room full of friends.”
The model explained that Rob had no idea anything was being organised for him, so when he arrived at the party to see all his family and friends he got slightly emotional:
“He shed a few tears and all, he’s a bit of a sensitive type and he couldn’t believe that I pulled the wool over his eyes so it worked.”
The brunette bombshell also told Nicky that she and Rob will be spending Christmas in Dublin. They will be moving between her parents and Rob’s parents house this Christmas Day.
‘Thankfully both our parents are in Dublin so it is my turn to go to Rob’s house this year – so I will do both,” she said.
