Glenda Gilson welcomed her adorable baby boy in October, but she has now revealed that the birth didn’t quite go to plan.
The Xpose presenter explained that she was in luck when she went into labour early.
“Bobby came two weeks early. I was literally only taking my time off from work and I went to see my doctor for a check-up and my waters broke in the clinic,” she revealed.
“I was in the right place at least!”
Now Bobby is just three months old and Glenda said she and husband Rob MacNaughton feel so lucky to have their little boy.
“Myself and Rob are still looking at him in awe. We can’t believe this little miracle is with us, we feel so blessed.
“We’re saying, look at our little family. We went from just the two of us to Bobby being here and poor Yas, our dog, is still trying to get used to the situation.
The presenter also told Tatler where the inspiration for the name came from.
“Rob’s mates call him Bobby Mac and I always thought it was a gorgeous name, so we went with that. We’re on cloud nine at the moment.”
Glenda returned to Ireland’s Got Talent just over a month after giving birth to her first child, and said it was perfect timing as she had plenty of support.
“The producers asked me to come back again this year and I really wanted to do it. They were so good, they said they’d help with anything I need and they looked after me,” she said.
“Yes, Bobby was just over a month old but I had my mom and Rob looking after him and I had him at work with me at times so it was perfect.”
“When I was working I was missing him but it’s funny how you get into the work zone for a few hours and I have my own little baby, as I was calling James [Kavanagh], on set with me!
“He was so good and interested in Bobby when I was showing him pictures and videos, he was so enthusiastic, which I loved.”
