Giovanni Pernice has shared a touching tribute to his Strictly dance partner Laura Whitmore after they were eliminated from the show last night.
The Irish beauty and her dancing partner found themselves in the bottom two after failing to impress with their Samba performance on Saturday night, and they ended up loosing the Dance Off to Ore Oduba and Joanne Clifton.
Despite speculation of a budding romance between the pair, both Laura and Giovanni have brushed off the rumours and insisted they are just close friends.
Giovanni took to Twitter to praise his talented dancing partner today.
He wrote, “Thank you for the great journey together..great partner and a great dancer @thewhitmore and thanks for all your support guys! Love Gio.”
Laura also took to social media last night to thank fans for their support and express her regret that she won’t be performing on the show again.
“Thank you all for such wonderful comments and support. Didn’t feel I was ready to leave, had so much more to show but learned so much from the journey! And the wonderful friends I now have for life @bbcstrictly.”
