Georgie and Jamie Crawford announced they were expecting baby number two back in April, and it is safe to say their whole family is thrilled as they await the arrival of the baba.
Especially daughter Pia, who has taken up the task of picking a middle name for her soon-to-arrive younger sibling.
The podcaster opened up to followers on Instagram, confessing she and Jamie had decided on a set of girls’ names and boys’ names, but daughter Pia would be bestowing the baby with their middle moniker.
When asked if she would find out the baby’s sex and select a name, Georgie replied: “We don’t know what we’re having but we have our names!!”
She also detailed Pia’s part in the naming process but admitted the six-year-old had some pretty wild suggestions.
“Pia got to pick the middle names and obviously some of her suggestions were…mad out of it. But we signed off on everything in Mallorca,” she wrote.
The couple will be welcoming their second child via surrogate, after a long and difficult process as their embryos were in Ukraine when war broke out.
Sharing the good news on social media in April, Georgie wrote: “I think it’s finally starting to sink in…our surrogate mother is pregnant!! After what feels like forever, our precious baby is on its way to us. In a million years I could never describe the emotions we have felt this year, our baby is due after the summer,” she explained.
“We are so grateful to the brave man who rescued our embryos from Ukraine back in Feb, 2022. But most of all we owe everything to the incredible lady who is carrying our baby for us, an earth angel, words cannot describe our gratitude.”
“I have so much love in my heart writing these words. It hasn’t been an easy road for us, so much so, that it’s hard to believe it’s real.”
During an Instagram Q&A, she also opened up about her excitement at meeting baby number two.
“So many emotions,” Georgie confessed when asked how she was finding her surrogacy journey.
“Overwhelming gratitude for our surrogate mother. But I feel a million miles away at times.
“Excited for a new adventure in a new place, but it also feels unbelievable. Maybe my subconscious trying to protect me?” she continued.
“The weeks are flying by so trying to enjoy every minute of Pia and Piper before we become our own Party of 5 (that was the name my mum, Joe, my two brothers and I gave our family). An adventure of a lifetime awaits.”
