With Christmas only days before, sometimes plans for New Year’s Eve fall by the wayside.

The stress of present buying and food shopping can mean that by the time NYE rolls around, there is no solid plan.

This year make it one to remember by heading to one of these five amazing places for a New Year party.

The stunning event, which takes place on George’s Quay features high-flying spectacles of lights and acrobatics take to the Dublin sky.

Watch 100 aquabeams dance across the night sky, performing in time with original music and acrobats that fly high through the sky performing while attached to giant balloons.

The magical evening is fun for all ages! The event is free, but you must get tickets to ensure entry, you can do so here.

New Year’s Eve at Titanic Belfast

If you’re looking for a glamorous evening look no further than that Titanic Museum Belfast.

Guests will enjoy a fabulous cocktail on arrival and a light supper before dancing the night away in front of the stunning Titanic staircase!

Smithwick’s 10 Degrees West – Achill Island

Smithwick’s Irish Ale has come up with a very interesting way to ring in the New Year. 

It has created an alternative celebration for those looking to escape the conventional New Year’s night out in the city in favour of a more laid-back experience on the stunning Achill Island.

The Smithwick’s 10° West festival takes place on 31st December and 1st January and includes music and activities.

Musicians such a Daithí and Talos will perform at night and during the daytime, festival goers will be treated to nature yoga sessions, breathtaking greenway cycles slicing between the Atlantic and the Slievemore Mountains and hikes through some of the most unexplored countrysides in Ireland.

Sadly, due to high demand tickets are fully sold out but those looking to get involved should keep an eye on Smithwick’s social media pages.

New Year’s Eve Carnival at House Limerick

If you are looking for a more creative night out look no further than Limerick’s House bar.

It is hosting a Carnival themed night with plenty of food, drink, music and entertainment.

RTE DJ’s JJ Hartigan and Will Leahy will be present and the bar promises lots of other items they want to keep as a surprise for the night.

Tickets are on sale for €20 on Eventbrite and also include entry into the bar’s new nightclub Amber.

Curtains open at 8pm.

Galway Fringe Festival’s New Year’s Eve Masquerade Ball

If you’re interested in fancy dress, the Masquerade ball in Galway Rowing Club is the perfect night for you.

Guests get a red carpet entrance with a jazz trio performing on arrival, complimentary prosecco and canapes on arrival and Live music and DJ till late.

The night features some of Galway’s most successful and talented musicians as well as a two-course buffet.

Fancy Dress is highly encouraged and there are even some prizes for the best dressed.
