We won’t have to wait too much longer to watch Netflix’s adaptation of The Thursday Murder Club.
The upcoming film which brings Richard Osman’s bestseller will hit the streamer on August 28th.
And the cast is seriously star-studded!
The flick stars our very own Pierce Brosnan as well as Helen Mirren, Ben Kingsley, and Celia Imrie.

The synopsis for the film reads: “Based on Richard Osman’s international bestselling novel of the same name, The Thursday Murder Club follows four irrepressible retirees – Elizabeth (Helen Mirren), Ron (Pierce Brosnan), Ibrahim (Ben Kingsley) and Joyce (Celia Imrie) – who spend their time solving cold case murders for fun.
“When an unexplained death occurs on their own doorstep, their casual sleuthing takes a thrilling turn as they find themselves with a real whodunit on their hands.”
And now we’ve got our first look at the film and it looks absolutely brilliant!
The film also stars Naomi Ackie, Daniel Mays, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Tom Ellis, Jonathan Pryce, David Tennant, Paul Freeman, Geoff Bell, Richard E Grant, and Ingrid Oliver.

The book was originally released in 2020 and became the fastest-selling adult crime debut in recorded history.
It really took over the crime scene and helped popularise the “cosy crime” genre. Three more novels have been published in the series, which have sold over 10 million copies combined. And a fifth novel is on the way in 2025!
