John Grimes is officially stepping into the spotlight without his twin, Edward Grimes, for a brand new series of Ex on the Beach.
And we finally have a first look at what’s in store…
Yes, a teaser for the upcoming season has just dropped, giving viewers a glimpse of John fully embracing the experience as he enters the villa solo.
Introducing himself with his trademark confidence and humour, John reminds everyone exactly why he’s remained such a familiar face on our screens since first rising to fame on The X Factor back in 2009 alongside Edward.

“You know me from so much things that you can’t even remember,” he began.
“Eurovision, Big Brother, X Factor. You name it, any show that you watch in your country, I’ve done the English version back in London.
“I have been doing this for so long, this is just another adventure for me,” he added.
“We’ll ride this wave together. It’s going to be iconic… I can’t even surf!”
The teaser has already sent fans into a frenzy, with many dubbing the upcoming series “Jex on the Beach” and rallying behind John as he takes on the experience without Edward by his side.
Set in sunny Tenerife, the new season of Ex On The Beach will see a host of familiar faces searching for love, all while their exes lurk in the background, ready to make a dramatic entrance.
Among the line-up are stars like Helen Flanagan and Toby Aromolaran, but it’s safe to say John’s unexpected solo turn is already stealing the spotlight.
And if this first look is anything to go by, he’s more than ready to take it on!
