Michael Flatley will be joining Patrick on Friday night as he marks 30 years of Riverdance.
On April 30th he shared a video on Instagram saying: “30 years ago today Riverdance was born. I am so honoured and delighted to finally have the chance to bring my dream to reality.”
He went on to thank everyone who was involved with the original performance of Riverdance in the 90s.
“It is a night that will live forever in the minds of millions of people around the world. And I just want to say to my dancers one more time – we did it!”
Last year, Michael was diagnosed with cancer, almost two decades after he was treated for melanoma.
He gave an update on his health last year.
“I have good days and bad days. On the good days I’m fighting fit and feel like a million bucks,” he told The Sunday World.
“I keep a positive attitude and I’m still working hard in daily life. There are challenging times ahead. I get that.”
He went on to tell the publication: “I believe that God is with me, and God will get me through this.”
He also shared that he was “honoured” by the “heartwarming” messages he has received from fans around the globe. He also thanked his family and friends for supporting him.
