The Tommy Tiernan Show debuted on RTE One last night, and fans were loving it. His first guests were Aslan frontman Christy Dignam and model Vogue Williams.
Dubliner Christy, who is battling an incurable form of cancer known as amyloidosis, spoke honestly to the comedian about his struggle with the disease and why he wants to stay alive.
He also took a look back at his lengthy career, and even gave viewers a taste of his raw talent, by standing up and singing an impromptu and emotional version of Ave Maria.
Fans were quick to take to social media to express how much they loved his interview, and were moved by his voice. One fan said, “Christy Dignam singing Ave Maria- priceless. Don’t know how Tommy held it together, very emotional. #TheTommyTiernanShow.”
