A host of well-known faces hit the red carpet last night to celebrate the release of Loving, starring Irish-Ethiopian actress, Ruth Negga.
Dublin’s Light House Cinema was full to the brim of Irish celebs and special guests yesterday evening, as they eagerly anticipated the Irish premiere of the historical drama.
Based on a true story, Loving tells the tumultuous tale of Richard and Mildred Loving, and their battle in the 1950s to make their interracial marriage legal. In the end their fight takes them all the way to the Supreme Court, and their result changed the path for interracial couples everywhere.
Guests were among the first to see the film in the country as it doesn’t hit our cinema screens until February. Those in attendance were also treated to a drinks and canapés reception upon arrival.
Some of those who walked the red carpet were Xpose presenters Ruth O’Neill and Cassie Stokes, Fair City’s Clelia Murphy and beauty expert Triona McCarthy.
Loving opens in cinemas nationwide on February 3rd 2017.
