Eve Hewson has been working steadily over the last few years to make a name for herself in Hollywood.
She has won critical acclaim for her roles in Bad Sisters and Flora and Son.
This summer she will star alongside Nicole Kidman in the hottest murder mystery, The Perfect Couple. Oh and she is set to appear in lauded director Noah Baumbach’s as-yet-untitled movie with the likes of George Clooney, Greta Gerwig and Adam Sandler.
However, her career has been haunted by the nepotism accusations.
Eve, of course, is the daughter of U2 frontman Bono and Ali Hewson.
However, Eve has always taken the nepo baby claims in her stride. She uses her impeccable wit to tackle most of these claims.
Last year, she tweeted: “2023 goals: be successful enough to get recognized as a nepo baby”.
In an interview with Porter Magazine, she brushes it off again.
She simply says: “The only thing you can do is crack a joke and move on.”
It’s no surprise she and her brother Elijiah went into the arts as she describes growing up in a home “filled with conversations about film and music and poetry and literature”.
And perhaps she was going to follow her father into the world of music admitting: “I thought I was going to be Charli XCX.”
But acting was her true passion, she jokes that “it was the only thing I was any good at”.
