With over two decades of culinary experience under her belt, it’s no surprise Eunice Power is one of the most sought after chefs in the country.
From catering star-studded events in the 3Arena and celebrity weddings (she was the mastermind behind Graham Norton’s wedding menu last summer), to hosting live cooking segments on RTE’s Today Show, running her very successful takeaway business And Chips, and most recently, coordinating the West Waterford Festival there’s nothing this acclaimed foodie can’t do!
VIP Magazine caught up with Eunice to find out what it was really like to work behind the scenes at Graham Norton’s big day.
“I catered for Graham Norton’s wedding last year. He was fabulous! He was absolutely amazing,” she enthused.
“In the 3Arena, I’d have cooked for lots of rockstars, but I think Graham is probably my favourite. He’s a lovely person, he’s so nice. His wedding was such a nice, lowkey and sophisticated day. Everyone felt so welcome. He was so hospitable, it was gorgeous.”
She also told us the dish she makes when she wants to impress.
“Crab! I love it as a starter for a wedding and just as much as I love it when cooking at home. I’d pair it with some really rich stout bread – yum. I love Turbot with some hollandaise sauce, crunchy green veggies and roast potatoes, too.”
