Eoghan McDermott has rubbished claims he’s leaving RTE 2FM, revealing he’s happier than ever with his radio gig.
He currently presents 2FM Breakfast with Doireann Garrihy, and despite rumours of his intended departure, admits he’s not going anywhere in a hurry.
“I have no idea where that came from, I just read it in the papers,” he told RSVP.
“I never said anything about it, I ignored it completely because once you talk about it then it becomes a second cycle of the story.”
He added, “I have signed up and am happy out. That’s that.”
Eoghan has been working from home throughout lockdown, and during his downtime, as been keeping busy, raising awareness and vital funds for the Julian Benson Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
He shaved his head live on the Late Late Show just a few weeks ago, and raised an incredible €450k, which will go towards creating free accommodation for families of those in hospital getting treatment for CF.
