Eoghan McDermott has opened up about his relationship with girlfriend Aoife Melia.
The couple were together for four years after meeting in college but went their separate ways until recently.
Now they’ve rekindled the romance and are stronger than ever!
The 2fm DJ spoke exclusively to VIP Magazine about how the relationship is different this time.
“It just feels very easy now,” he said.
“We’re living together and everyone keeps asking ‘oh how’s that’ expecting there to be some teething problems, but it’s lovely! It’s going very smoothly.”
Eoghan went on to discuss everything he loves about his doctor girlfriend.
“She’s beautiful and smart and strong…and she’s just a very warm person, too. I almost feel like I’ve got an inferiority complex sometimes [laughs].”
The couple work in two very different careers and Eoghan explains how the pair make that work.
“She doesn’t know the world I’m in, the media and entertainment world, so she gets a great kick out of what I do, she loves it. I feel great about being able to give her that light relief after all the heavy stuff she sees.”
When asked about whether he sees a future with Aoife, the presenter said: “Yeah, absolutely. There’s no timeline on anything, but we’re both happy to say we’re in it for the long haul!”
