Pierce Brosnan has paid tribute to his former co-star Doris Roberts with an emotional Instagram post.
The US actress, arguably best known for her role on Everybody Loves Raymond, passed away in her sleep today at the age of 90.
Taking to his social media profile, the James Bond star shared a sweet collage he made of the award-winning actress, who he worked on Remington Steele with in the ’80s.
“My dear Doris, I am so very saddened to hear the news of your passing,” he wrote. “I loved you Doris, we had so many good laughs together, and you always knew where the laughs were, you never forgot the audience.
“My heartfelt love and condolences go out to your family. You will be missed by many, forever and the day, but your work shall live on. Love life and laughs …God bless.”
He then posted another snap of the pair – and co-star Stephanie Zimbalist – captioning it: “Dear Doris, we had fun did we not? You were a joy to work with, you made me laugh and you made my work better for the laughter. Love life work and laughter, here’s to higher ground – RIP.”
What a fitting tribute for an iconic woman.
