Emma Doran has been laughing up a storm in recent years.
The comedian splashed onto the scene over lockdown and has been steadily solidating herself in the Irish comedy scene.
When VIP Magazine catches up with her she can’t help but confess: “If you told me 10 years ago I’d be doing a VIP photoshoot, I’d of said, you’re having a laugh!”
Since her appearance on RTÉ Does Comic Relief back in 2020 her star has been steadily rising. So much so that she teases that she could be going global.
“I have an English agent now so I think there’s going to be some gigs there,” she tells us.
“I think it’s a good time for me because if it had been a couple of years ago, I’d have been, ‘oh, what about the kids drama classes?’ But the kids are getting older now; it’s time to explore.”
However, she admits that she is “very much a home-bird” so she won’t be flying the nest permanently any time soon.
“My partner Shane is fab, my parents are a two minute walk from the house and my brothers are close too. I do think that is important as well. So, I won’t be moving to London anytime soon but I’ll defo get a few Ryanair flights and see what the craic is!”
