eir VIP Publishing Power of Women Awards 2024: Nominees for the Accessories award

VIP Publishing is delighted to announce that the eir Power of Women Awards are back.

These awards celebrate the best and brightest female entrepreneurs in Ireland, across the worlds of fashion, technology, beauty, lifestyle, wellness and more!

The winners, decided by an expert panel and awarded at an exclusive lunch in Dublin’s Marker Hotel on November 8th, will be profiled in VIP Magazine.

The Accessories award celebrates the women making waves in the world of jewellery, bags, hats, and more.

Here’s a bit more information about our inspiring nominees…

Julie Peelo – PEELO

Creative director Julie Peelo launched her Dublin-based design studio in 2020, creating her contemporary bag and accessory line, PEELO.

Loved by celebrities like Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez and Jessica Biel, Julies designs draw inspiration from architecture and design, and are made to last.

Lyndsey Cavanagh – One Dame Lane 

One Dame Lane was founded by designer Lyndsey Cavanagh in 2017. She wanted to create a jewellery collection that was both affordable and sustainable, and focused on slow fashion.

The pieces are designed to be timeless and versatile, allowing customers to elevate their outfits with accessories that last.

Lisa Ruttledge – Fabulisa 

Fashion lover and mum of four Lisa Ruttledge set up her business, Fabulisa, over the pandemic and hasn’t looked back.

First selling luxury silk face and eye masks, hair bands and turbans, the Cork brand now also boasts beautiful bags, jewellery and accessories.

Sallyann Concannon – Mettle & Bloom

Mettle & Bloom is a Galway born jewellery brand creating timeless pieces that become staples for their customers.

Founded by Sallyann Concannon in 2022, the brand celebrates women’s resilience and the female gaze through their unique style and dainty jewellery.

Suzanne Jackson, Terrie McEvoy & Siobhan Murray – MANTRA Official

Suzanne, Siobhan, and Terrie are the three women behind MANTRA Official.

In a world full of fast fashion, ‘quality over quantity’ is a mantra that is slowly slipping away. Their collection is an attempt to introduce the world to high-quality, investment pieces that will last a lifetime and without the designer price tag.

Nicki Hoyne – Nicki Hoyne

It all began in 2020 when Nicki Hoyne launched her debut collection of crossbody camera bags. This success led to the launch of her footwear collection in 2021.

Nicki has created a slow fashion line of accessories that were designed to be cherished – timeless pieces to add to your wardrobe that can be worn year in and year out.

Margaret Urbanowicz – Sómas

It’s all about comfort and ease – that’s what Sómas stands for. This business places an emphasis on the importance of finding pleasure in the simple, everyday moments.

Founded by Margaret Urbanowicz in 2019, Sómas is a selected range of carefully curated products including candles, clothing, and accessories that inspire mindfulness and well-being in this fast-paced world.

Megan Nolan Walsh – MNW Design

Megan Nolan Walsh is a designer and artist based in Dublin. She creates vibrant, wearable pieces inspired by her love for colour, life, and self-expression.

Her pieces have been worn by celebs like Derry Girls’ Saoirse Monica Jackson, and include cute Ts, shorts, and caps, many of which are inspired by Irish heritage.
