Over the weekend it was confirmed that Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford would be divorcing.
The couple were married for 14 years.
A representative told The Sun: “Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing.”
And now it is reported that the Northern Irish presenter is “devastated” by the split.
It is said that Eamonn has moved out of the €3.8 million home that he shared with Ruth.
It’s also believed that will be discussing the divorce on his TV show on controversial station, GB News.
According to The Sun: “Eamonn is always frank on camera and knows it will be odd for him to discuss the day’s news without mentioning his split so he’ll say a few words.
“He is putting on a brave face and will be the true professional he always is. Focusing on work will be a welcome distraction.”
Sources also claim that Eamonn is “devastated” about the split and that it has “very much been orchestrated by Ruth”.
Ruth previously spoke about her family life saying that “part of my heart was ripped out” when her 21-year-old son Jack, who she shares with Eamonn left for college.
Speaking on Loose Women in December of last year, she broke down in tears.
“That first week of not having him at home literally felt like part of my heart ripped out. I kept his bedroom door shut.”
