Eamonn Holmes has offended many with a comment he made on ITV’s This Morning today, and viewers were quick to express their anger.
During the cooking segment of the show, chef Hersha Patel was making a dhal and coconut chutney in the studio kitchen, and all was going well until the 56-year-old made a somewhat unusual comment.
When thanking Hersha for the delicious food he said “thank you our little Indian.” Fans took to social media soon after to say that they found the comment disrespectful and insulting.
However, in Eamonn’s defence, Hersha’s YouTube channel is called Cook With A Little Indian and she sometimes refers to herself as little Indian, so we assume that the Belfast native wasn’t being intentionally disrespectful.
It was just taken out of context people, all is well.
