Philip Doyle has been showing off his skills on the dancefloor on Dancing with the Stars.
He jokes that it is a far cry from the rowing machine that he is used to working on daily. But he is always being cheered on by his partner, Tiffany McDonald.
He shares with VIP Magazine how the pair met, explaining that she is an ICU nurse. Immediately we thought it was a meet-cute in the hospital as Philip is a doctor.
But that’s not exactly the story.
“We met because I crashed my car into her friend’s tree,” he tells us with a laugh.
“It was a freak accident, I crashed the car, went into the house to ask if I could I use their phone because I finished a work shift. I had driven to do my MOT, but failed it because the brakes were not great. I was driving home nice and slow and just getting through a T junction into the tree.”
He went on to say that they realised that they knew each other and followed each other on Instagram. They met again on a night out, but this time Tiffany was with her.
“She popped up on a night out with her friends and I was like, ‘Who is your friend?’ And that was it. We’ve been going out for four and a half years now.”
This is so sweet!
