Last week there were no eliminations.
Davy Russell topped the leaderboard and this week has immunity from the dance-off.
Yes, this week the dance-off returned!
Here’s how everyone got on…
Eileen Dunne and Robert Rowiński
Eileen gave it her all for her Paso Doble!
Arthur gushed that her “sassy side” came out as she “commanded” the audience with the dance.
Even Brian “quite enjoyed” her performance telling her to “keep bringing the fun”.
Let’s talk points – she received her first 19 points! She had been scored 17 points for the past three weeks but this week she got two sixes and a seven from Arthur!
David Whelan and Salome Chachua
After receiving the first 10 of the season, David is hoping to keep that high!
His quickstep certainly impressed the judges!
“David you are a machine!” Arthur gushed and Brian was equally happy with David telling him that he gives each dance “the respect they deserve”.
He didn’t get a 10 again with two nines and an eight from Brian adding up to 26.
Rosanna Davison and Stephen Vincent
She’s a tango queen, even if there were some strange dance move names. Pee up the tree, was it, Stephen?
Brian told her that things got a “bit soggy” due to her posture but was a big fan of the rest of the dance.
Loraine praised her for making sure that “all the tango steps” were there during the dance. “You absolutely gave it your best!” she added.
She received two sevens and an eight from Arthur, totalling to 22.
Jason Smyth and Karen Byrne
The samba is all about hips, so Karen was eager to loosen him up!
And we think he certainly showed off his fun and sassy side.
“I think you absolutely smashed it and you did it all with your coconuts,” Loraine enthused.
He scored 23, two eights from Brian and Loraine and a shock seven from Arthur.
Davy Russell and Kylee Vincent
Davy tangoed his heart out on Sunday night!
Despite having immunity, Arthur told him that he “gave a stunning tango” and “came out of his comfort zone”.
“Even though you’ve got immunity it’s a bit wasted because you wouldn’t have needed it after that,” Brian praised.
He received two eights and a seven from Loraine, totalling to 23.
Laura Fox and Denys Samson
Laura was loving her cha-cha to Ariana Grande. But what about the judges?
“The lyric in the song is ‘yes, and’ but this cha-cha was ‘yes, meh’,” Brian told her in a harsh comment.
“It was still a great, sassy cha-cha-cha,” Loraine added.
Despite their tough critiques, they received three eights which added up to 24.
Blu Hydrangea and Simone Arena
Blu went for an emotional, pared-back Viennese Waltz.
And we definitely got to see a different side to Blu as we saw Josh for the first time on the floor!
“This was raw story-telling and you really did bare your soul,” Loraine told them. “When you took off that mask and wiped your lipstick, that was Josh there.”
The highest score of the series came in with two 10s and one nine – leading to 29!
Katja Mia and Ervinas Merfeldas
Katja killed it with the Charleston tonight! There were jumps, skips and lifts galore.
We’re wrecked just watching it!
Brian loved the “commitment and energy” of her routine as well as “the fun”!
She received three nines from the judges totalling to 27.
