Anne Cassin impressed the judges with her first dance on Sunday night in Dancing with the Stars.
She and her pro-partner, Robert Rowinski, received a total of 23 from the judges for their Foxtrot.
VIP Magazine sat down with Anne after she came off stage on Sunday night to find out how she was feeling after that impressive first performance.
She beams as she tells us: “I feel elated, I feel relieved, I feel happy. I’m grateful, and I’m feeling very positive. I think this will release a bit more going forward. It’s been wonderful, I just enjoyed the performance so much and I enjoyed dancing with Robert so much.”

The judges gushed about her dance routine, and she admits: “Oti did say that she is honest, so I took it as a massive compliment. Being playful is something I had to learn how to do. I’m just feeling great that I actually got there.”
Of course, she’s not the first RTÉ alum to take part in the beloved dancing competition. So did she get any advice from her colleagues.
“I’ve spoken to Marty Morrissey. Eileen Dunne came in to us on one of the rehearsals. I’ve spoken to Mary Kennedy, I’ve spoken to Teresa Mannion. They all report a really positive experience. They said enjoy it, embrace it,” she explains.
Of course, swapping her Nationwide mic for the sequin of the ballroom is definitely out of Anne’s comfort zone. And that is exactly what she wants!

“My mantra at this stage of my life is to do new things. To do new things and not be afraid of them, and to experience things in a positive sense. That is really what it comes down to.
“I would hope other people feel the same, you can get a bit safe and caught in your own routine. That’s the big thing.”
Well, we can’t wait to see what she brings this week!
All the glitz and glam continues on RTÉ One at 6:30pm on Sunday.
