Dancing with the Stars has been confirmed to return for a new season in the new year.
And we have been making our guesses as to who could be taking part in the show in 2024.
One star has already thrown their hat in the ring to strut their stuff on the dancefloor.
We caught up with TikToker and social media star Lauren Whelan to chat about what she has planned. And she is very eager to get onto the beloved dance show.
We chat about her dream show to appear on, to which she quickly tells us it’s Dancing with the Stars.
“Dancing with the Stars. That is what I want to do. Hello… cough cough… I want to do Dancing with the Stars!!” she says quickly.
“It’s just always something I’ve watched and would love to do, but I am not a star, who am I to think I can go on that? But I would love to do it.”
She has had a whirlwind few years. It must be hard to wrap her head around it all.
“It is kind of weird because it has changed in some ways and in other ways, it hasn’t. I’m still a young girl from Carlow, I went to college and did all that normal stuff, but obviously, my life is a bit different,” she admits with a smile.
“I’m so blessed to have both ends of it, I can still do all the normal stuff, I have such an amazing job and such amazing people around me. I’m just so grateful.”
RTÉ confirmed that the dance competition would be back during the reveal of its Autumn/Winter schedule.
Both Jennifer Zamparelli and Doireann Garrihy will be back at the helm after a successful first year together as co-hosts.
