Donal Skehan’s Mum Visits Him In Los Angeles

With the arrival of Oliver Skehan into the world three weeks ago, TV host and chef Donal Skehan and his wife Sofie will have their hands full this Christmas but fear not as mammy Skehan has arrived to help out.

She came, she saw, she ate the free food and nearly got us kicked out for robbing the set! Brought my mom to see me on set @homeandfamilytv this week in Universal Studios in Los Angeles and it was a very proud moment! She was very excited about the fact that I had my own trailer and robbed the crafty snack table when everyone wasn’t looking! Gave her the tour of the desperate housewives set, the jaws ride and the war of the worlds set and she was loving it! Now that’s enough fun, back to babysitting duty! 😂😳🤩🤩🤩 #nannymammygranny

His mother Liz is over to lend a helping hand with the newborn and their two-year-Old Noah Ziggy but while she’s there, he brought her around to see the sights, including a visit to his workplace, the set of Home and Family TV.

Donal and Sofie moved to Los Angeles in 2016  and the young family make the most of California living.

Three weeks down with our new little addition to the family and even with family here to help, holy moly it is FULL ON! This pic was taken after a day that was probably the most challenging we’ve ever had since having kids and you honestly don’t know if it will ever let up and then it does and it’s all amazing again. It was the sunshine after the rain! I’m sure there are plenty more to come but @sofieskehan sent me a quote that is highly appropriate for these early baby days: “on particularly rough days I like to remind myself that my track record for getting through bad days so far is 100% and that’s pretty good!”. Whatever you’re struggling with and in case you need to hear it like we did, you got this, you got this, you got this! 💪🏼👶🏼🙌🏼
