The celebrity chef is currently en route home from Thailand with his family after spending an adventurous couple of weeks in the Southeast Asian country.
Taking to Instagram, Donal opened up about how “grateful” he was to be able to get away.

“As we cram the last of the sandy flip-flops into the suitcases and brace ourselves for the long haul home, I’ve been thinking about why this trip mattered so much,” he began his post.
“Last Christmas, we made a promise to ourselves: 2025 would start differently. Less grind & stress, more connection. And so, a year later, we’re here packing up after a whirlwind in Thailand.
“Traveling with kids is equal parts chaos and wonder, tantrums and triumphs. But as we leave, it’s always worth the adventure and that’s what stays with you,” he added.
“Thailand gave us so much: the kindest people, food that was somehow even better than we imagined, and the kind of freedom you only get when you’re standing barefoot on a beach with no agenda.
“If you’re feeling that New Year travel itch, I’ll pull together a little itinerary soon of where we went and what we ate, in case it inspires an adventure of your own.
“For now, we’re heading home grateful for the reset, slightly sunburned, and reminded of why the bleedin chaos of travelling with kids is always worth it.”
Previously opening up to his followers, Donal noted that 2024 was full of “hard lessons, quiet wins, and a lot of figuring things out” and how he wanted to enter the new year differently.
Well, no better way to do it than starting off 2025 with a trip of a lifetime alongside your family!
