Donal Skehan has some big plans for the year ahead, not just professionally, but on a personal level too.
The chef and TV presenter has revealed that planning permission has finally been granted for the beautiful family home he shares with his wife Sofie and their two sons, Noah and Oliver.
However, before the expansion and renovation can begin, Donal and his family are temporarily moving out of the house.
Keeping followers updated throughout the process, Donal has been sharing videos of himself packing up their belongings as they prepare for a fresh start.
“New year, new move! Packing the house for a fresh start! After over seven moves, always start with the essentials in a go-box,” he previously advised fans.
Now, it looks like the move is nearly complete, with Donal sharing another update on social media.
“The movers came today to bring all the boxes we’d packed up to the interim house! Big thanks to Mark, Ezra and John for the heavy lifting,” he wrote.
He also shared his top tip when it comes to moving house — purge, purge and purge again.
“I’m a big believer in not letting the boxes sit and unpacking them immediately so you’re not forced to put the contents away,” he explained. “The unpacking never ends. Hard but done now. Starting to feel like home!”
“We’re absolutely thrilled. We’ve been there three years now, the plan was always to expand.”
