Donal Skehan and his wife Sofie have been busy with home renovations ever since they bought their first house together earlier this year.
Now, the TV Chef is giving followers a glimpse into what exactly they’ve been up to.
Taking to social media to give his fans a sneak peek inside his new cottage home, Donal first showed off the living area and explained their plans for it.
“The panelling in the living space has been done, we’ve got the alcove shelved,” he explained.
Adding: “We’re hoping to get a bench and two units, one unit there and our dining table and stuff like that.”
Donal then shared his unique plans for his sons’ bedroom, featuring bespoke bunk beds already in place.
Taking followers inside the otherwise empty room, the dad-of-two said: “Our room hasn’t been touched but the boys’ room, the bunk beds, have been pretty much done.
“We’re waiting for the carpets to go in here, we’ve to get a mattress to go in here. A load of people were saying it’s too small but Ollie is going to sleep in this space!”
Donal then reassured followers that the beds were perfectly safe and that they’d already been enjoying climbing up and down them.
Despite the interiors still needing a bit of work done, Donal and his wife have perfectly decorated the front of their house with a minty green door, followed by some ornaments and leafy plants.
“This olive tree has been sitting in my mum and dad’s house since we got married and now it finally has a place,” he said.
But the real focal point is the old-fashioned doorbell, which Donal admitted to stealing from one of his previous homes. “They were getting rid of it so we robbed it, so the bell now has a permanent home,” he explained.
