Doireann Garrihy had a tearful goodbye to 2FM on Friday morning.
She was met with beautiful speeches from her co-hosts Donncha O’Callaghan and Carl Mullan.
But they weren’t the only ones who paid tribute to her.
Her sisters and parents took to social media to gush about her five years with the station.
Ailbhe Garrihy shared a picture of Doireann with her co-hosts along with her nephew, Sean.
“Take a bow @doireanngarrihy. An amazing run with your bros for life. So proud xxx,” she captioned the sweet snap.
Aoibhín posted a snap of her listening to the radio on the school run with the caption: “Tuned in for the Swan Song. So bloody proud of you.”
While proud mother Clare shared a picture of herself with her daughter along with Donncha and Carl.
“On to the next chapter @doireanngarrihy, so proud of you and so grateful to @carlmullan and @donnchaocallaghan for their love, loyalty and support.”
Her fiancé Mark Mehigan also shared an emotional tribute to Doireann!
He posted a picture of Doireann in the 2FM Roadcaster with the caption: “Well done @doireanngarrihy on the final show this morning. There can’t have been a dry eye in the country. You are the absolute business.
“And of course her brothers in arm @donnchaocallaghan @carlmullan @willem_mccartney”.
