Things are heating up in the kitchen for Doireann Garrihy! She announced her latest television gig on Instagram over the weekend.
Doireann took to social media to reveal that before she jetted off on her holidays to Spain that she had been working on The Restaurant!
Yes, the 2FM star is set to show off her culinary skills in the Marco Pierre White restaurant.
“So before I went on holidays to Spain I took on an average enough challenge ( @donalskehan I don’t want to hear a word out of you )…I went on @therestaurant !!!!!” she wrote.

“Jokes aside, anyone who has ever been subjected to my cooking or watched me do a cook-along on insta live will know that I am extremely culinarily challenged. Like, a shocking lack of skills.”
She continued: “It’s a wonder I’ve kept myself alive since I moved out of home. But both @aoibhingarrihy and @donnchaocallaghan (graduates of The Restaurant) assured me it would be the toughest but MOST rewarding day of filming ever…and they weren’t wrong.
“I had the absolute best craic with the whole team, and cannot wait for you to see it. Coming soon!!”
She was immediately inundated with plenty of messages from pals congratulating her on her latest endeavour.
“Fish on the menu?!! Can’t wait to watch!” Donal Skehan was quick to write.
While Louise Cooney wrote: “And the food was 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻.”
Her 2FM co-host Carl Mullan commented: “I’m telling you now if you get 1 star I’m going to organise a parade through Dublin on an open top bus to celebrate it.”
