Doireann Garrihy may have hung up her 2FM mic last month, but that doesn’t mean that she has hung up her friendships.
She was able to meet with her two former co-hosts, Carl Mullan and Donncha O’Callaghan, who she refers to as her brothers.
They were also joined by the show’s producers Grace Callaghan and Willem McCartney to mark the end of an era.
Oh and a surprise guest.
Tommy Bowe as joined them for a snap to the surprise to not only her followers but also Doireann herself.
She shared a picture of him at the dinner calling him a “crasher”.
She joked: “We have a crasher but a welcome crasher at that.”
She shared some other snaps of the group together, writing: “Much like Carl’s Glitter Ball and Donncha’s red nickers, we’re dragging the arse out of this goodbye.
“Love yiz @gracecallaghan0702 @willem_mccartney @donnchaocallaghan @carlmullan swipe for a cameo from @tommybowe.”
It was an emotional goodbye for Doireann last week.
Doireann finished up her time on the show by saying: “I just want to thank both of you from the bottom of my heart for every single day. It’s been the time of my life, I’ve enjoyed every single second of it.
“I love you all and thank you for being so welcoming all the way back in 2019 when I came in the door and I didn’t know anyone. It’s an amazing place to work. We’ve been through thick and thin every single morning… I’ve found brothers for life and I’m so grateful.”
