Dermot O’Leary is set to pen a children’s novel next year.
The X Factor host will be taking some time off from his busy schedule so that he has time to finish his new children’s book by January.
“I’m taking a bit of time off next year and I’ll be doing some writing.” he told The Sun.”I did a book a couple of years ago about me, but now I’m writing a novel, a kids’ book.”

The seasoned presenter has already written a book, and he admits, it’s not an easy task.
“For the last book I had to give them thousands of words for July and it was terrifying but it’s not easy writing a kids novel.” he said.
“I’ve got to deliver it by the end of January and I’m half way through. I don’t know if it will be like David Walliams’ books, because I don’t read kids’ books. This idea just came to me, I pitched it and we got it away.
“They liked it, and asked: ‘Have you got more?’ So now I’ve got to think of more ideas.”
