Deirdre O’Kane has been extremely busy lately organising the first ever Irish Comic Relief night, and filling in for Lucy Kennedy as co-presenter of The Six O’Clock Show. Tonight marks Deirdre’s last show, but she’s absolutely loved the experience.

Despite her original nerves and reservations, the Gogglebox Ireland host explained to VIP Magazine.ie that she would definitely do live tv again, and has serious respect for those involved in it regularly.

“I’ve been loving it but tonight is my last night, it’s been great. I’ve done three months of it now. I’ve got some broadcasting wings, I’m no longer shaking in my shoes like I was in my first couple of weeks. I have a new found respect for the live television medium.

“Oh yeah (I’d go back to it again), I hope so. It’s something I resisted for years because I thought it would get in the way of me being an actress and a comic, but I’ve long given up on trying to design my career, it’s just like work- just work, and let it fall where it may.

“I have loved it. I have a great respect for TV3, I’ve really enjoyed working out there and the team on that show are phenomenal.

Tickets are still available for Paddy’s Night in Support of Comic Relief, which will take place in Dublin’s 3 Arena on St. Patrick’s Day.
