Dayl Cronin has admitted that there is nothing romantically going on between himself and his Dancing With The Stars partner Ksenia Zsikhotska.
The singer is down to the final four on the dancing competition, along with former GAA player Aidan O’Mahony, actress Aoibhin Garrihy and Red Rock’s Denise McCormack.
Previously Dayl said that he understood how contestants could fall victim to the ‘Strictly curse’ but he doesn’t plan on letting it happen to him.
“I actually do understand how it can happen because you are dancing so close to someone and you think: ‘This feels great’ and you have to step out of that moment and realise it’s totally professional,” he said.
Although 23-year-old Dayl and 27-year-old Ksenia are great friends, the Hometown member insists there is nothing more going on between them, and he’d never go there for fear of things turning sour.
Speaking to the Irish Mirror Dayl said, “We’re actually genuinely good friends and I think you need that. If something was to happen like that it would ruin everything. It’d be awkward.”
Catch the semi final of Dancing With The Stars this Sunday night at 6:30pm on RTE One.
