A massive congratulations is in order as Davy Fitzgerald and Sharon O’Loughlin have announced the birth of their first child.
With the pair welcoming a baby boy, named Daithí Óg, back in May. Davy also has a 25-year-old son Colm from his previous marriage.
Sharing the news with the Sunday World, Davy said: “We have young Dáithí Óg and Colm,”
“It’s different for Colm. Like 25 years on and he ends up with a brother. You know what, I don’t think that’s a bad thing either that there’s two of them together now.”
“I’m chuffed. It’s one of the best things that ever happened me.”
Also sharing how new mum Sharon is finding motherhood, Davy revealed, she is loving it, and is very hands on with the baby.
Joking: “She won’t f**king let me do anything, so she won’t!”
“She is very attached to him, but you know it’s been a good thing for us.”
The hugely popular GAA legend married long term love Sharon surrounded by family, friends, and work colleagues in the stunning Dromoland Castle in 2019.
The Ireland’s Fittest Family coach was joined by RTE GAA presenter Marty Morrisey, as well as IFF co-star Anna Geary to celebrate his nuptials.
Taking to twitter, Marty shared a sweet snap with the newlyweds, captioning the shot “Delighted & proud to be at my great friends wedding today!!
“Dinner is at 6.30…then the Party begins !!”
